ASTI designs, develops, and validates satellite systems and space technologies including CubeSats, small satellites, ground stations, and space mission operations. Our satellite research encompasses spacecraft bus design, payload integration, communications subsystems, attitude determination and control, power systems, and mission planning for scientific, commercial, and defense applications.
ASTI Satellite & Space Capabilities
CubeSat and SmallSat Development Design, assembly, integration, and testing of CubeSat (1U to 12U) and small satellite platforms for technology demonstration, Earth observation, communications, and scientific research missions.
Spacecraft Bus Design Mechanical structure, thermal control, power generation and distribution, command and data handling, attitude determination and control systems (ADCS), and propulsion subsystems.
Payload Integration Integration of scientific instruments, remote sensing cameras, communications payloads, signals intelligence sensors, and experimental technologies into spacecraft platforms.
Ground Station Systems Design and operation of ground stations for satellite command and control, telemetry reception, mission data downlink, and communications relay.
Mission Operations Flight dynamics, orbit determination, anomaly resolution, payload operations, and mission planning for satellite constellations and individual spacecraft.
Space Qualification and Testing Environmental testing including thermal-vacuum, vibration, acoustic, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), and functional verification to qualify systems for spaceflight.
